Now imagine the Wilson with a Horst Link at the rear.... The level of Anti-squat would depends 80-90% on the position of the main pivot and 10-20% on the position of the Horst Link, and that's how all FSR bikes work.

The Level of antisquat of the Solstice depends 80-90% on the position and angle of the lower link, just like most Virtual pivots, if I move the upper link pivot a bit, the bike works pretty much the same. So that's why we can say that it is a Virtual Pivot with a "Weird" upper link.

Best regards,
Tony.Antonio Osunahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075236093614144240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650400550712092979.post-54111892075362321902012-06-27T23:49:30.589+02:002012-06-27T23:49:30.589+02:00Its an 'inverted' FSR/horst-link and very ...Its an 'inverted' FSR/horst-link and very impressive - all credit to Chuck Dunlap. Still, it was only a matter of time for this kind of implementation to appear following the inversion of the long beam four bar that DW performed with the Devinci Wilson.

I'm not sure that the patent on the design will prove to be defensible but whether defensible or not I hope Specialized learns something from this.

Wilson-like shock linkage would give a better L-R but add cost to the bike as well I imagine.
