The AR numbers for the Troy are lower than had been previously been the norm for a split pivot bike and the change while modest is clearly the result of a deliberate design decision - note the orientation of the rocker link.

Is DW going down the path of lower AR designs? Steve Smith's one off World Champs bike took things even further in the low AR direction. At the very least DW has brought into question a design tenet (the preference for moderate to high AR) that many of us had imagined was a given on DW designed bikes. Will DW admit that FSR designers got something right? I wait in anticipation.

Un saludo
ChrisUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17241896695243345163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650400550712092979.post-70126362531202705922013-10-22T15:40:05.472+02:002013-10-22T15:40:05.472+02:00I'm using the new version of Linkage and Kickb...I'm using the new version of Linkage and Kickback numbers have flipped, but it's just the name. The big number is PK relative to the ground and the small one is PK relative to the frame.

Another thing that has changed is the Force graph. I have all my old models set at 25% Sag but when I open them with the X3 Version I get 33-34%, so the formulas have been changed a bit too.

Best regards,
Tony.Antonio Osunahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075236093614144240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650400550712092979.post-57012206347402151252013-10-22T09:47:44.980+02:002013-10-22T09:47:44.980+02:00Having the Devinci, Pivot and Norco bikes compared...Having the Devinci, Pivot and Norco bikes compared in the charts conveys that they are all 'performance oriented' i.e. that they attend to AS (pedaling neutrality) first and pedal kickback is accepted as a cost that must be paid for the pedaling performance gain. This leaves room for characteristic touches - the Pivot has the most impressive AS curve, the NORCO has outstanding leverage rate escalation, the Devinci (perhaps) has a bit less pedal feedback.

A question, Antonio. What has happened to the pedal feedback graphs? Recently, the kickback (frame) numbers have appeared to be larger. That doesn't seem right.

Un saludo
Chris Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17241896695243345163noreply@blogger.com
