And yes, all the theory about Brake-squat in that site it's cringeworthy.

Best regards,
Tony. Without there being extensive force from the shock to deal with unsprung weight all results will be invalid. Also, isn't real world deceleration required, i.e. a braking rear wheel trying to slow/stop a moving bike, before braking force gives rise to the kinematic force of 'brake squat', that can exert influence on the bikes ride characteristics?

Antonio Osunahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075236093614144240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650400550712092979.post-77755601459323244802014-12-04T20:09:01.595+01:002014-12-04T20:09:01.595+01:00Antonio has visto esto:

But we can say the same thing for Anti-squat... If you have a bike with 75% Anti-squat and you start pedalling it's going to bob, if you pedal harder it's going to bob even more. 75% means it's not a balanced system, and the harder you push, the harder it moves.

Brakes work the same way, diameter plays a role (Power), but the exact position of the caliper does not, because the torque it's always the same...

Best regards,
Tony.Antonio Osunahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075236093614144240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650400550712092979.post-81273102404598074512014-12-02T15:28:42.710+01:002014-12-02T15:28:42.710+01:00Thank you antonio, very nice and informative blog!...Thank you antonio, very nice and informative blog!
It seems to me that they are confusing momentum and force a little bit when looking at the brake squat: obviously caliper position has an influence on the force that acts on the caliper, but the momentum between axle and brake stays the same, which is the important factor.
Is that right how i see it?
