It could be considered an heir to the original Lapierre design approach - similar to the proper OST bikes, predating the recent watered down OST+ variations, but with the rough edges knocked off. This is a real "bicycle d'opinion" and you just have to live with the negatives, i.e. pedal kickback, for the sake of the fine pedaling performance.

I like the Shimano 2x11 system (that is a bias that I don't intend to change) - 28/38 would be best in this case. 1x11 is alright too with 32T and 34T being good options. Those chainrings also happen to be the right ones for racing but you will need all your strength for the climbs.

Un saludo
ChrisUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17241896695243345163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650400550712092979.post-61019727563929069592014-11-16T01:51:49.969+01:002014-11-16T01:51:49.969+01:00There you have it, It works really well with a 2x1...There you have it, It works really well with a 2x10 too as you can see, so don't worry about it, a lot of people still need as many gears as possible...

Best regards,
Tony.Antonio Osunahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075236093614144240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650400550712092979.post-5032395563545654492014-11-15T11:19:37.247+01:002014-11-15T11:19:37.247+01:00Hello Antonio, many thanks for your wonderful blog...Hello Antonio, many thanks for your wonderful blog, I am learning so much. Do you have the information for the Aeris in "140 setting" with 2X gearing please? I am thinking of ordering one but I would need the extra gears for the highlands of Scotland.
Best wishesAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15910388922879491493noreply@blogger.com
